China Is Imposing Youngster Wang Badminton Team

China failed Asian Games singles champion Wang Shixian from their Olympic badminton team and took 21-year-old talent Li Xuerui as the third and latest entrant in the women singles at the London Games.

The battle for the last seat between the former world number one Wang and Li sparked heated speculation in the media in China in recent weeks, with the first two slots already the world's number one and number two Wang Yihan and Wang Xin sewn.

The three Wangs have the same name but are not related.

Wang Shixian, once tipped to dominate Chinese badminton after winning gold on home soil at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, was surpassed by his teammates in the last year and a half because of the fear fitness.
